Using the various “Going Green” discussions in the book, your own personal knowledge, and outside sources respond to the below questions: 1. How can resorts work to meet the growing demand of today’s “green movement” in business. Think beyond the standard door hangers asking to use towels more than once, that have almost become the new industry standard. 2. From a marketing perspective, do you think that having the image of a conservation in the lodging industry? Do you think it will help bring awareness to consumers? From an investor standpoint, do you think it is worth the investment? 3. Find two resorts or hotel companies that employ “green” practices – From the perspective of a hotelier (go beyond “the room is pretty”): What do you think of the property? If you were to take over as Owner, would make any changes/additions in regards to features/amenities/pricing structure/marketing plan? Why/Why not? – From the perspective of a customer: Would you stay there? What are some of the most impressive ‘green’ features that are mentioned? What would you change, if anything, why?
